Luen Thai, title sponsor of Hong Kong PolyU’s 2012 Knitwear Fashion Show
Luen Thai Holdings Limited was the title sponsor of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s (PolyU) 2012 Knitwear Fashion Show held last May 23 at The Mira Hong Kong.
Delivering the keynote address, Henry Tan, Luen Thai CEO, said the company believes in nurturing young talents in the textile industry. He added that students’ full potential can be nourished by opportunities like the PolyU’s Knitwear Fashion Show.
The annual fashion show features the creative and design talent of graduating students from the PolyU's Institute of Textiles and Clothing (ITC). This year, the event showcased 21 collections of four outfits from 21 graduating students majoring in knitwear design. Knitwear producers and yarn suppliers also sponsor the event every year. Luen Thai was one of the regular sponsors last year.
The ITC was the first institute at the Hong Kong Polytechnic established in 1977 from the former Department of Textile Industries. The PolyU's ITC provides quality educational programs, research, consultancy and professional services in fashion and textiles.
