adidas names YTI outstanding supplier; passes two major auditsYuen Thai Industrial Co. Ltd. (YTI) wraps up 2011 with three big year-end accomplishments as it received the "Outstanding Supplier" award from adidas and passed two major compliance and lean system audits. Raymond Tan, president of Luen Thai International Group, said "receiving this kind of award means we are doing very well with our customers." He added "this positions ourselves as their strategic vendor partners." The awarding was given at the adidas Supplier Summit 2011 last November 17, 2011 in Macau. YTI received the “Outstanding Supplier Award 2011 –Continuous Improvement” out of nine award categories: Speed; Manufacturing Excellence; Continuous Improvement; SEA Compliance; Innovation; Reliability; Quality; Leadership; and Connectivity.
aLF audit YTI in Dongguan received a higher score in the 2011 official aLF audit last November 16, 2011 compared to last year. The aLF audit is a high level business management system audit (Lean) conducted by adidas. Jithesh Ramachandran, manager, Manufacturing Excellence, adidas Sourcing Limited, conducted the audit. The aLF audit has several components which include: Management Trust, People, Information, Supplier/Organization/Customer, Product and Process Flow. Previously, YTI scored 52.39%. This year's score has increased to 60.21%.
4C Rating In another audit, YTI Dongguan has maintained its 4C rating from the latest adidas Key Performance Indicator (KPI) audit held on December 5, 2011. The inspection included an assessment of YTI's facilities in Dongguan Supply Chain City and review of the effectiveness and sustainability of their management systems.
