The Association of Young Filipino-Chinese Entrepreneurs presented the Award of Recognition to Willie Tan, Luen Thai Holdings non-executive director, on 16 March 2012 during the group’s 20th anniversary celebration at the Peninsula Manila, Philippines.
 
The award recognizes Mr. Tan for his support for the redevelopment of manufacturing employment in the Philippines.
 
Philippine President Benigno Aquino III, who was the event’s guest of honor, said that manufacturing entities were coming into the country because "a lot of them, I think, were convinced by Willie Tan over here, who has done quite a great feat."
