In line with Luen Thai's commitment to good corporate citizenship, the top management and employees joined hands in celebrating the United Nation's “World Environment Day” from June 5-8.
The event was marked with several activities. A photo exhibit with the theme “Nature Appreciation” was held in Luen Thai Dongguan Supply Chain City. The artworks consisted of photos from Luen Thai employees as well as posters from the United Nation’s current environmental campaign. In addition, the company's cinema held a film showing on environmental awareness.
Meanwhile, the company's top executives, led by CEO Henry Tan formally opened the photo exhibit on June 6. Joining him were financial controller Alex Chan, and senior vice presidents Frank Sauceda, Vicky Dilcock, and Dr. John Romagna. In his speech, Tan reaffirmed the company's commitment to implementing environmental measures in Luen Thai's business operation.
Wang Huali, head of a Dongguan-based environmental organization called Lu Se Zhu Jiang was the event's guest speaker. He lauded Luen Thai's efforts in spreading the importance of protecting the environment among its employees.
The program also included an exchange of tokens of appreciation by Tan and Wang. The CEO also handed out certificates of participation to employees who submitted their photos for the exhibit.
