Work-Life Balance Publication Features Luen Thai's Wellness Programs

Luen Thai's wellness program has been featured as one of 18 case studies in a publication produced by Community Business, a unique charity based in Hong Kong.

The publication, Work LifeBalance in Hong Kong Case Studies, highlights various companies' efforts in encouraging work-life balance among their employees. Frank Sauceda, Luen Thai senior vice president for corporate human resources, was the key resource person for the article with quotes from Anne S.W. Mok, executive director of Luen Thai.

Luen Thai's program includes wellness education provided by trained and certified personal trainers; customized goals to suit individual needs; establishment of a gym with complete equipment in the Dongguan Supply Chain City and cafeterias that serve nutritious meals.

Community Business held a breakfast seminar to launch the publication on June 6 at The Foreign Correspondents' Club in Hong Kong. Attending in behalf of Luen Thai was executive director and chief financial officer Sunny Tan. "I'm sure it's just the beginning for us and we can do more to make Luen Thai a better place to work, with better work-life balance," he said.

Other companies featured in the publication include ABN AMRO, BP, Cisco, CP, Fleish-man-Hillard, Goldman Sachs, Hong Kong Disneyland, HSBC, Lehman Brothers, Marks & Spencer, MTR Corporation, Shell, Standard Chartered Bank, Sun Microsystems, Tex100, TNT and UBS.
