A series of wide-ranging events filled the February calendar of Luen Thai Philippines.
Simultaneous Waste Market
On February 2, Luen Thai Philippines participated in a recycling program held in SM City-Clark from 8 AM to 3 PM. This endeavor urged all Clark Freeport Zone's investors and households to bring recyclables for trading and proper disposal.
Mass Celebration for Ash Wednesday
On February 6, LTPI celebrated the beginning of the Lenten Season by holding a special mass for the Catholic members of the company. In the Clark facility, monthly mass celebrations are regularly held.
Chinese New Year Celebration
On February 7, LTPI president Frank Sauceda led the celebration of Chinese New Year among the Filipino employees in L&T Clark.
Joining in the celebration was production, planning and
coordination director Simon Wooi. Dancing lions visited all corners of the facility as a symbol of ushering in good luck and blessings to the company. HR and Administration staff also distributed red envelopes and candies to employees. Firecrackers were lit and added fun to the festivities.
Lean Manufacturing Training
On February 12, executives and managers of LTPI underwent a lean training under head trainer Johnson Tam. Lean implementation, also known as Project Add+, is a continuing priority in the company and is aimed at all levels of the business operations in all its operations worldwide.
Valentine's Day Celebration
On February 14, LTPI marked Valentine's Day with special activities including personal message posting by the employees; games; raffle draw; and gift-giving. The event was joined in by the group head and general manager for Philippine apparel operations Marilet Z. Penaflor.
